What the SXC30-550 press does

The LT SXC30-550 is a hydraulic press for sheet metal and busbar processing on a 550 mm bed, PLC controlled with a digital axis system. The bed is a welded steel plate structure stress annealed after welding, so the frame does not deform over long service — the factor that decides whether a press still holds its flatness in its tenth year rather than its first. Positioning is carried out with the digital axis system and the machine can be stopped during unmanned operation. A high flow gear pump delivers a step speed of up to 12 strokes per minute. It is the shorter-bed version of the SXC range, for UK fabricators whose flat work sits inside 550 mm.

Test conditions: Sheet metal and busbar pressing on a 550 mm bed, PLC controlled with a digital axis system, using a high flow gear pump.

Measured values: Step speed up to 12 times/min; welded steel plate bed with stress annealing after welding to prevent rack deformation in long-term use; PLC control with digital axis system for positioning; machine can be stopped during unmanned operation.

Benchmark: Compared with the SXC30-750: identical control system, pump and 12 strokes/min step speed, with a 200 mm shorter bed. The choice is bed length, not press capability.
