The LT HQ2000-S is a CNC copper busbar sawing machine built around a high speed disc saw blade, giving a fast cut with a high-verticality cut face and no collapse at the angle. Long busbars are clamped once and the machine then switches the clamp automatically through the cutting sequence, so repeated cuts need no manual intervention. Copper busbar is held pneumatically, which is quick to clamp and easy to maintain, and the axes run on high precision ball screws with linear guides. UK busway and switchgear producers use it where cut quality and repeat lengths matter more than the total cut volume.
Test conditions: Copper busbar cutting on a high speed disc saw blade with pneumatic busbar clamping; long busbars clamped once with automatic clamp switching through the cutting sequence.
Measured values: Saw blade rotational speed 2 800 r/min; blade diameter 400 mm; X-axis maximum positioning speed 50 m/min; X-axis stroke 2 000 mm; minimum plate length 30 mm; machining range 30 × 3 – 200 × 15 mm; overall size 3 300 × 1 300 × 750 mm.
Benchmark: Disc sawing against band sawing: the disc gives a faster cut and a cut face that is close to square without a secondary facing operation, which is what removes a step from the busbar workflow.
